Mr. Atkins served as Principal of Toliver Elementary School, Assistant Superintendent of Elementary Schools in Fayette County, and Asst. Vice President for Diversity and Associate Professor of Education at Centre College.

 

He was elected Danville's mayor in 2022

Mr. Ensslin enters the Hall of Fame as an Honorary Member- one who is so honored who did or did not participate in sports at Danville High School but whose contribution of material or non-material equity has had a lasting effect on the athletic program.

 

As head of the Booster Club, Tom led the way in raising funds to support the athletic programs at DHS. He became personally involved with many of the athletes, becoming a father figure to some. Many of his contributions were done anonymously. For his selfless and sacrificial efforts, he now enters the Danville High School Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2014.

The Knight brothers quarterbacked the Danville High School football team for seven consecutive years.

(John 1952-54 & Juddy 1955-59)

 

Each was Co-Captain of the team their Senior Year and led their teams to State Championships. Each was Honorable Mention All-State in football as seniors.

 

John received a total of 9 varsity letters (football 3, basketball 3, and golf 3). He was the Student Body President & Junior Class President. John graduated from Rice University & the University of Chicago Business School.

The Knight brothers quarterbacked the Danville High School football team for seven consecutive years.

(John 1952-54 & Juddy 1955-59)

 

Each was Co-Captain of the team their Senior Year and led their teams to State Championships. Each was Honorable Mention All-State in football as seniors.

 

Juddy received a total of 15 varsity letters at DHS (football 4, basketball 3, track 3, & golf 5). He was Runner-up in State Golf. Juddy attended the University of Kentucky on a golf scholarship. He graduated from UK Dental School & Orthodontic School."

Started in every game of DHS first soccer season as an 8th grader
